DISSECTION OF A FISH

Students from Year 5 are studying living things. Last week we visited the science lab to learn more about fish.

Como habéis podido observar en los libros de Natural Sciences de 1º, 3º y 5º aparece un código promocional para acceder a los contenidos digitales. Es requisito imprescindible ser usuarios de estos textos y la persona que lo active deberán ser los padres preferiblemente, pues debe ser mayor de edad y disponer de una dirección válida de correo electrónico. Estas son las instrucciones que tenéis que seguir para activarlos:

1. ENTRAR EN: www.oupe.es/digital
2. Introducir el código promocional y pinchar en "CANJEAR CÓDIGO".

 3. Añadir el libro a la cesta (ES GRATUITO).

 4. Abrir la cesta de la compra y hacer clic en pago (Esquina superior derecha).

5. Registrarse en la página de Oxford University Press.

6. Tras el registro, aparecerá una página de confirmación de pedido. Hacer clic en "confirmar pedido".

7. Hacer clic en "continuar".

8. Aparecerá una pantalla con la compra realizada.

9. Se os enviarán las instrucciones a seguir en la dirección de correo electrónico proporcionado.

Students worked in pairs to carry out two different tasks:

TASK 1

Choose two animal samples and two human samples. Observe them with the binocular microscope and draw your observations in the sheet below.

TASK 2

Choose one sample. Observe it with the different magnification objectives and draw what you see in the observation sheet.

THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD

Scientists use the scientific method to find answers to questions and to solve problems. It is based on making observations, asking questions and looking for answers to questions through science experiments.

 

These are the main steps of the Scientific Method:

1. Ask a question
2. Gather information and observe (research)
3. Make a hypothesis (guess the answer)
4. Experiment and test your hypothesis
5. Analyze your test results
6. Present a conclusion
